Mohli sme nahliadnu\u0165 do nepoznan\u00e9ho mikrosveta…tak by op\u00edsal svoj objav kolekt\u00edv z Katedry mikrobiol\u00f3gie.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Katedra mikrobiol\u00f3gie<\/strong> sa od svojho vzniku venuje extr\u00e9mofiln\u00fdm mikroorganizmom<\/strong>, teda tak\u00fdm, ktor\u00e9 \u017eij\u00fa v podmienkach nepredstavite\u013en\u00fdch pre \u017eivot<\/strong>. Posledn\u00e9 obdobie sa v\u00fdskumn\u00fd kolekt\u00edv zameriava najm\u00e4 na halofiln\u00e9, \u201eso\u013e-miluj\u00face\u201c bakt\u00e9rie. Tieto bakt\u00e9rie izolovali z vrtu v b\u00fdvalej so\u013enej bani v Pre\u0161ove. Toto prostredie je extr\u00e9mne z poh\u013eadu nedostatku \u017eiv\u00edn, extr\u00e9mne vysokej salinity (so\u013eanka je 10x slan\u0161ia ne\u017e morsk\u00e1 voda) a dlhodobej podpovrchovej priestorovej izol\u00e1cie od okolit\u00e9ho sveta v lo\u017eisk\u00e1ch soli star\u00fdch 16-17 mili\u00f3nov rokov.\u00a0<\/p>\n P\u00f4vodn\u00fd z\u00e1mer prim\u00e1rneho z\u00e1chytu bol izol\u00e1cia halofilov s biotechnologick\u00fdm potenci\u00e1lom, produkuj\u00facich zauj\u00edmav\u00e9 extr\u00e9moenz\u00fdmy, bioplasty alebo degraduj\u00face r\u00f4zne polutanty. \u010cas\u0165 vzoriek v\u0161ak bola pou\u017eit\u00e1 na h\u013eadanie a kultiv\u00e1ciu bakt\u00e9ri\u00ed, ktor\u00e9 okrem toho \u017ee s\u00fa halofiln\u00e9 vyu\u017e\u00edvaj\u00fa ako jedin\u00fd zdroj energie s\u00edru. S\u00edru-oxiduj\u00face bakt\u00e9rie, s\u00fa fyziologicky a fylogeneticky extr\u00e9mne variabiln\u00e9 a predpoklad\u00e1 sa, \u017ee oxid\u00e1ciu s\u00edry vyu\u017e\u00edvali ako zdroj energie aj prv\u00e9 formy \u017eivota na na\u0161ej Zemi<\/strong>. Tieto mikroorganizmy je v\u0161ak vo v\u00e4\u010d\u0161ine pr\u00edpadov ve\u013emi \u0165a\u017ek\u00e9 izolova\u0165 a kultivova\u0165 v laborat\u00f3ri\u00e1ch, v\u00e4\u010d\u0161ina inform\u00e1cii o nich preto poch\u00e1dza len zo \u0161t\u00fadia ich genetick\u00e9ho materi\u00e1lu. Po mnoh\u00fdch ne\u00faspe\u0161n\u00fdch pokusoch o kultiv\u00e1ciu s\u00edru-oxiduj\u00facich bakt\u00e9ri\u00ed, sa ich po prv\u00fd kr\u00e1t podarilo izolova\u0165 hne\u010f nieko\u013eko<\/strong>. Navy\u0161e i\u0161lo o z\u00e1stupcov \u00a0rodov ako s\u00fa Guyparkeria<\/em> alebo Hydrogenovibrio<\/em>, reprezentovan\u00e9 len nieko\u013ek\u00fdmi doteraz pop\u00edsan\u00fdmi druhmi. Tieto izol\u00e1ty vykazovali ve\u013emi n\u00edzku podobnos\u0165 na \u00farovni genetickej inform\u00e1cie a teda ide o pre vedu celkom nezn\u00e1me, nov\u00e9 druhy s\u00edru-oxiduj\u00facich bakt\u00e9ri\u00ed.<\/strong><\/p>\n \u010co sa vlastne stalo ? Tieto bakt\u00e9rie \u010dakali na svoje objavenie nieko\u013eko mili\u00f3nov rokov.<\/strong> Dlhotrvaj\u00faca pr\u00e1ca, odhodlanie a viera, \u017ee raz bude mo\u017en\u00e9 n\u00e1js\u0165 vhodn\u00e9 kultiva\u010dn\u00e9 podmienky aj pre halofiln\u00e9 s\u00edru-oxiduj\u00face bakt\u00e9rie viedla k izol\u00e1cii minim\u00e1lne 4 nov\u00fdch druhov<\/strong>. Pr\u00e1ca v\u00fdskumn\u00e9ho kolekt\u00edvu v\u0161ak pokra\u010duje, a to popisom t\u00fdchto bakt\u00e9ri\u00ed ako uznan\u00fdch nov\u00fdch druhov, presk\u00faman\u00edm ich biotechnologick\u00e9ho potenci\u00e1lu, ako aj zhodnoteniu ich pr\u00edspevku na udr\u017eiavan\u00ed \u017eivota v tomto extr\u00e9mnom prostred\u00ed.<\/p>\n
