From 28 January to 2 February 2024, members of the Department of Mathematical Analysis of the Institute of Mathematics, Faculty of Science, Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice participated in the international conference Fuzzy Set Theory and Applications 2024.
PhD student Stanislav Basarik received the award for the best presentation for his paper entitled Some generalizations of the Choquet integral – applied and theoretical. In his paper he presented the advantages of a new aggregation method which he introduced, implemented in software and successfully applied in the field of digital image processing.
This recognition not only highlights the level of research activities carried out at the Institute of Mathematics, but also strengthens the reputation of the faculty.
