
The Slovak and British ultrafast X-ray imaging communities met on 19.3.2025 in London.
Leading scientific groups in the field of ultrafast X-ray imaging came together to discuss the development of new technologies, the latest research relevant to numerous sectors, and to gain new connections to the wider community.
The presentations were opened by European XFEL´s Managing Director, Dr Nicole Elleuche. The keynote speaker was the Slovak scientist Dr Patrik Vagovič, whose technological setup is used by Slovak and British scientists for groundbreaking experiments in the fields of health and materials. The presentations were completed by the user testimonials, after which a lively debate regarding future collaborations developed. P. J. Šafárik University was represented by research group leading by Jozef Uličný from Institute of Physics, Faculty of Science, The event was received with excitement and in collaborative spirit, as previously unexplored synergies were created in the community, that will undoubtedly take European competitiveness to the next level.

This flagship NCPXFEL event, was held at the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in London. Special thanks go to the speakers, as well as Jana Pivoňková from E-XFEL, Nina Spišiak from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Martin Cushing from the British Embassy in Bratislava.
