On 9th April 2025 in the Historical Auditorium of P. J. Šafárik University was held another seminar from the cycle of Faculty seminars – Natural Science Teahouse No. 44 called ” AI in the Age of AI” or Academic Integrity in the Age of Artificial Intelligence.
At the beginning of the seminar two lectures were given:

how the future of AI is shaped not only by engineers but also by ideologies – from the techno-utopianism and accelerationism of Silicon Valley, through the darker philosophical recesses.
Opening lectures were followed by a panel discussion featuring the following participants:
Ing. Ronald Blaško, RNDr. Soňa Ftáčniková, PhD., prof. RNDr. Peter Fedoročko, CSc. (Institute of Biology and Ecology of the Faculty of Science), Sophia Petra Krišáková and Damián Rybovič as representatives of the students of the Faculty of Science of P. J. Šafárik University.
During the discussion there was an active debate on how universities should respond to the emergence of AI, what are the biggest challenges and threats to education, science and research , whether writing a thesis will be still relevant, in which areas there should be a regulation of AI in education, science and research, how creative employees and students should be familiarized with the possibilities of using AI.
The seminar, which was chaired by the Vice Dean of the Faculty, prof. RNDr. Gabriel Semanišin, PhD., was attended by students, PhD. students and employees of P. J. Šafárik University in Košice and was a part of the implementation of the policies of the Faculty of Science, P. J. Šafárik University in the field of introducing of AI into the processes at the Faculty.
