On January 18, 2024 took place the defense of the dissertation of the student from Indonesia MSc. Limpat Nulandaya in the study programme Progressive Materials. The faculty and its Department of Physical Sciences were honored by the participation of the Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia – H.E. Dr. Pribadi Sution at the defense. After a successful defense, the Ambassador accepted the invitation of Professor Pavol Sovák and Ph. Nulandayu for an informal meeting over a cup of coffee and tasting Indonesian national snacks.
In a bilateral conversation, Professor Sovák informed the Ambassador about the mission and structure of the departments of the P. J. Šafárik University and the Faculty of Science P. J. Šafárik University in Košice. Both sides noted the considerable potential for cooperation between Slovak and Indonesian scientific teams as well as in the creation of joint international educational activities.
