The history of the Faculty is mainly made up of the teachers who work there and the graduates who spread its good name. Since its foundation, the UPJŠ Faculty of Sciences has combined education with high quality scientific research. Many personalities have worked and are working at the Faculty, who have made a name for themselves not only on the national, but also on the international level. Some of them have founded scientific schools and seminars that have contributed significantly to the development of their scientific disciplines.
Publications documenting their activities may be useful for future generations, as well as for reviving the memories of alumni and memorials.
At the end of 2024, a publication on the Košice School of Discrete Mathematics, whose founder was prof. Jucovič.
