0minút, 54sekúnd

Within the framework of the World Brain Day, which falls on 22 July of the calendar year, the working group from the Institute of Biology and Ecology, under the leadership of RNDr. Terézia Kiskova PhD., wants to actively present itself with the COST project (CA22103 – A COMPREHENSIVE NETWORK AGAINST BRAIN CANCER – Net4Brain).

Brain cancer is a serious problem in the global burden of disease. It is estimated that by 2024, there will be 3.24 million new cancer cases and 1.66 million cancer deaths registered in Europe, with 40 800 of these deaths due to cancers of the brain and central nervous system (CNS). The COST action aims to significantly facilitate the translation of basic scientific discoveries into clinical practice and thus into the care of brain cancer patients.
