University Library registrates users with specific needs free of charge.
Loan period for study and professional literature for this category of users is double longer – 6 months with possibility once time to request for renewing loan period before its expiration (for next following 6 months).
University Library provides on demand copying and scannig services for users. Simultaneously is available self-service high-quality librarian scanner at two workplaces, concretely at Medical Library and at Library of Art for users. This kind of service is free of charge. Users have possibility to print in every worplace of University Library (printing is charged according to valid actual Fees and Services Price List) .
University Library is gradually building an electronic collection of the most requested literature in electronic form – the so-called VIRTUAL STUDY ROOM. In all University Library study rooms, students have access to computers with higher resolution on which this digitised literature is stored.
Another specific service of University Library is interlibrary and international interlibrary service. Library provides for own users possibility to borrow the documents from another library in Slovakia or abroad (charged according to valid actual Fees and Services Price List).
For users with specific needs are reference and research services provided by University Library free of charge.
University Library pay attention also to information education. If there is request for, University Library instructs users how to use online library catalogue, professional electronic resources and how to search for needed documents for study and work.

Devices for students with specific needs
University library in collaboration with University consulting center (thanks to successful project) in the workplace of the Library of Arts (Moyzesova 9), created a place for study for the students with the specific needs.
It is fitted with the modern technical and information devices as is the optical reading magnifier with the audio response unit, the touch screen with the audio response unit, the scanning pen, the specific desktop keyboard and the mouse, the headphones, the supporting steadies for the body.
After scanning particular text document by means of the magnifier, it is possible the text document record also as the audio output in the form of mp3, the output for the e-book reader and so on.
