Gabriel \u017dold\u00e1k and PhD student Veronika D\u017eupponov\u00e1, participated in the <a href=\"https:\/\/instruct-eric.eu\/ibsbc2022\">5<sup>th<\/sup> Instruct Biennial Structural Biology Conference<\/a>, which took place in Utrecht, the Netherlands, from <strong>19 to 20 May 2022<\/strong>. The theme of the 2022 conference was \u201cChanges in Structural Biology: Challenges in Studying Dynamics\u201d. The conference explored new cutting-edge developments in structural biology, including the emerging methods and technologies that are helping scientists to decipher complex biomolecular dynamics.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\">Participation in the conference was associated with the presentation of research results connected with the implementation of the CasProt project in the form of two posters entitled \u201cDirect observation of chemo-mechanical coupling in the Hsp70 chaperone DnaK by single-molecule force experiments\u201d and \u201cMolecular mechanism of myeloma \u03bb-type IgG light chain aggregation\u201d. In the first poster, a demonstration of laser optical tweezers use to examine the mechanical properties of a truncated two-domain DnaK(1-552ye) in apo\/ADP\/ATP and peptide-bound states was presented. The second presentation was devoted to the development of a method for rapid and effective purification of a soluble form of IgG light chain.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Our colleagues, Assoc. prof.
