Cassovia New Industry Cluster (CNIC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Slovak-American company Tachyum s.r.o. on November 5, 2021 at the Technology and Innovation Park TIP-UPJŠ. The Memorandum of Understanding was signed on behalf of CNIC by the Chairman of the Board of CNIC, prof. RNDr. Pavol Miškovský, DrSc. and Tachyum s.r.o. co-founder and CEO, Ing. Radoslav Danilak, PhD. The meeting was also attended by Mgr. Roman Oros for CNIC and Róbert Cisár, Business Development Manager for Tachyum.
By signing the Memorandum of Understanding, both parties expressed their interest in cooperating and pursuing common goals in the fields of education, science and research and technological development. The memorandum supports cooperation in the field of artificial intelligence and high-performance computing, thus creating space for cooperation with the private sector and science.
The subject of the memorandum is also the interest in building a high-performance computing infrastructure and locating a supercomputer in eastern Slovakia. This would increase the economic level of the region, employment, and at the same time increase the visibility of the region at the international level and increase its competitiveness.
The goal of CNIC and Tachyum is to seek penetration in quantum, hydrogen, life sciences, advanced materials, green energy through the AI (Artificial Intelligence) framework and its transfer to industrial technologies.
We believe that effective cooperation between CNIC and Tachyum will create innovative conditions and attract more high-tech investors to the region, bring new opportunities and consequently lead to employment growth and improve the quality of life in the region.
