SAFTRA photonics s.r.o. is a high-tech company that was established as a start-up at UPJŠ in Košice. Today, this company continues in cooperation with Technology and Innovation Park TIP-UPJŠ, with which it solves two projects. The first project (APVV) is focused on the development of a methodology for the detection of toxic substances dioxane and glyphosate and the second project is focused on the sensitive, selective and rapid detection of various mutations in the coronavirus SARS-Cov-2 (Structural Funds project).
Representatives of the Slovak government chose SAFTRA photonics s.r.o. to represent the Slovak Republic in the Slovak pavilion EXPO DUBAI 2020 in the United Arab Emirates during the thematic week Climate and Biodiversity.
The company will present the PickMol ™ technology in the Slovak pavilion from 02. – 09. October 2021. We are glad that UPJŠ in Košice is a part of such success stories.
