Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice was ranked 201-250 in the latest international ranking, The Emerging Economies University Rankings 2021, making it the most valuable Slovak university. Compared to last year, the university has significantly improved when it was placed in position 301-400.
Ranking Times Higher Education World University 2021 includes more than 1,500 universities in 93 countries and regions, making them the largest and most diverse university ranking to date.
The ranking is based on 13 fully calibrated performance indicators that measure the institution’s performance in four areas: teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international reputation. This year’s evaluation analyzed more than 80 million citations in more than 13 million research publications and included survey responses from 22,000 scientists around the world.
A more detailed analysis shows that we are mainly improving in the specific “industry revenue”, “reputation” and “volume”. The Technology and Innovation Park (TIP-UPJŠ) makes a significant contribution to this success with all high-quality scientific and technological research, international projects, various citations, quality researchers and scientists not only from Slovakia but also from abroad.
The Technology and Innovation Park is a center of scientific and technological excellence in the field of biomedicine, biotechnology, information technology and advanced materials. This assessment is proof that we are trying to improve the growth of the national economy and increase employment by providing research results to industries.
