Dr. Gabriel Žoldák made a business trip to Munich within the Casprot project as a planned trip in WP1 “Outgoing visits“ from the end of June to the first week of July. The meeting was organized by Prof. Matthias Rief from Technical University in Munich, Germany. They discussed the planned research activities and time schedule for CasProt scientific tasks, single-molecule force spectroscopy of proteins, trends in protein stability and folding, infrared lasers for optical trapping, writing of the scientific manuscript: Direct observation of chemo-mechanical coupling in the Hsp70 chaperone DnaK by single-molecule force experiments by Anubhuti Singh, Prof. Matthias Rief, Dr. Gabriel Žoldák.
They also discussed the visit of administrative staff and its organization. PhD student – Veronika Džupponová will spend three months at the university in the laboratory of Prof. Rief at the Department of Biophysics. She will carry out the experiments within the CasProt project.
