(2008):<\/strong> Morphological and anatomical investigations on endemic Allium armenum BOISS. & KOTSCHY and\u00a0 Allium djimilense BOISS. EX REGEL (Alliaceae) species of East Anatolia. \u2013 Thaiszia \u2013 J. Bot. 18: 1-8.<\/p>\n Abstract: In this study, Allium armenum BOISS. & KOTSCHY and Allium djimilense BOISS. EX REGEL both endemic of Turkey, were compared morphologically and anatomically. The results showed that the investigated species had typical morphological characters of sect. Codonoprasum Reichenb. and also that they could be distinguished from each other not only by their morphological but anatomical characters as well. D\u00cdT\u011a D., ELI\u00c1\u0160 P. JUN. & S\u00c1DOVSK\u00dd M. (2008):<\/strong> Camphorosmetum annuae RAPAICS ex SO\u00d3 1933 \u2013 vanishing plant community of saline habitats in Slovakia. \u2013 Thaiszia \u2013 J. Bot. 18: 9-20.<\/p>\n Abstract: Association Camphorosmetum annuae was reported in the second half of 20th century from relatively large areas of south-western Slovakia. The community retreats in Slovakia nowadays due to conversion of saline soils to arable land. This work deals with recent distribution and condition of the community in Slovakia. Phytosociological relev\u00e9s were sampled using the adapted Braun-Blanquet scale and classified by TWINSPAN software. The results showed that the community has still occurred only on three sites near the villages of Ve\u013ek\u00e9 Kosihy, I\u017ea and Kamen\u00edn, covering total area not larger than 70 m2. However, typical Camphorosmetum annuae was found only in the Kamen\u00ednske slanisko Nature Reserve near the village of Kamen\u00edn where covered total area only 0.01-1 m2. All other recent localities with occurrence of Camphorosma annua represent only secondary and disturbed habitats on more or less degraded saline soils. The vegetation cover on these localities is usually close to Festucion pseudovinae communities. The results documented that Camphorosmetum annuae is fast vanishing plant association in Slovakia and its survival and conservation is probably impossible without human impact. KRICSFALUSY V. & MILLER G. (2008):<\/strong> Invasion and distribution of Cynanchum rossicum (Asclepiadaceae) in the Toronto region, Canada, with remarks on its taxonomy. \u2013 Thaiszia \u2013 J. Bot. 18: 21-36.<\/p>\n Abstract: The present study gives an overview of the nomenclature for Cynanchum rossicum (KLEOPOW) BORHIDI that is being used in botanical literature. The distribution pattern of this invasive alien species in northeastern United States and southeastern Canada is described on the base of herbarium materials, field records and literature data. The area covered by the introduced range of C. rossicum is estimated to be 3 times the coverage of its original range which indicates a very high rate of spread across North America. Over the 100-year history (1902-2005) of invasion of C. rossicum in the Toronto region, Canada the total number of herbarium specimens is 65, with the number of infested vegetation communities being 1936, yielding a total of 2001 records. The dynamics of C. rossicum spontaneous invasion in the Toronto region were analyzed by multiple regression analysis. The obtained data indicate that number of species localities and mapping grids per year gradually increased during the four historical periods (1902-1999) and shows exponential growth in last fifth period (2000-2005). During the recent phase of invasion C. rossicum occurred in a wide range of habitats, and it invaded many natural and semi-natural sites. SUPUKA J., FERIANCOV\u00c1 \u013d. & BIHU\u0147OV\u00c1 M. (2008):<\/strong> Leaf impact trends of silver birch (Betula pendula Roth.) by allochtonous elements at Nitra town urban vegetation. \u2013 Thaiszia \u2013 J. Bot. 18: 37-49.<\/p>\n Abstract: The town settlements have different load level by emmissions originated mostly from industry, transport and heating system. Their environmental and climate conditions are more or less changed that effect to human healthy, growth, physiology and healthy stage of woody plants at the city public vegetation areas. Highest stress load is occurred along with thoroughfares at tree alley. \u0160OLT\u00c9S R. (2008):<\/strong> Philonotis marchica (Bryophyta), new record in Slovakia (exhausted fen Kriv\u00fd k\u00fat, Poprad Basin). \u2013 Thaiszia \u2013 J. Bot. 18: 51-54.<\/p>\n Abstract: During the peatlands mapping in Slovakia, Philonotis marchica, rare species for Slovakia bryoflora, was found. This species is widespread but scattered, evidently bears suboceanic features. Its habitat and phytocoelogical conditions are briefly described. \u0160OLT\u00c9S R. (2008):<\/strong> Racomitrium elongatum FRISVOLL, a neglected Slovakian bryophyte. \u2013 Thaiszia \u2013 J. Bot. 18: 59-64.<\/p>\n Abstract: Chorology, ecology and phytocoenology of Racomitrium elongatum Frisvoll is dealt with in the paper. The taxon is neglected in Slovakia and appears to be rather common in The Tatra Mts. The distribution map of the species in the Tatra Mts is presented MIKOL\u00c1\u0160 V. (2008):<\/strong> Sorbus hugh-mcallisteri nom. nov. for Sorbus apiculata McAllister 2005, nom. illeg. \u2013 Thaiszia \u2013 J. Bot. 18: 65-67.<\/p>\n Abstract: Sorbus apiculata MCALLISTER 2005 is a later homonym of Sorbus apiculata (KOVANDA) MIKOL\u00c1\u0160. The new name Sorbus hugh-mcallisteri MIKOL\u00c1\u0160 is applied for the species. The species belongs to the section Multijugae (T.T.YU) MCALL. It is known from NW Yunnan, China. Sorbus apiculata (KOVANDA) MIKOL\u00c1\u0160 2004 is a member of Sorbus danubialis agg. (Sorbus subg. Aria) with the occurrence in Bohemia, Czech Republic MELEGHIK O., SOLOMAKHA V. & SOLOMAKHA T. (2008):<\/strong> Ecological analysis of the flora of saline sites in the northern part of Banat region in Vojvodina Province (Serbia). \u2013 Thaiszia \u2013 J. Bot. 18: 75-92.<\/p>\n Abstract: A long-term floristic study has determined the presence of 410 plant taxa in the flora of saline sites in northern Banat, the Vojvodina Province, Serbia. Of the determined taxa, 363 were included in the ecological analysis of the saline flora, i.e., all 348 determined species, all 14 determined subspecies and, because of its specific importance, only one variety, Aster tripolium var. pannonicus (Jacq.) Beck. Based on the analysis of mean values of ecological indexes (LANDOLT, 1977), we concluded that the saline soil of the studied region is moderately dry (F \u2013 2.65), moderately basic (R \u2013 3.30), moderately abundant with nitrogen (N \u2013 3.08) and humus (H \u2013 2.,95), poorly aerated (D \u2013 3.89), highly saline (S+ – 22.31 %), with a favorable thermal regime (T \u2013 4.03), with the dominance of heliophytes (L \u2013 3.85) which are well adapted to the conditions of the moderate continental climate (K \u2013 3.24) that characterizes the studied region. Bot. 18: 93-100.<\/p>\n Abstract: Pollen size and viability in two hybrid swarm populations of Pinus mugo and P. sylvestris were evaluated using microscopic approach and in vitro germination test. Pollen size of the hybrid swarms was shown to be reduced in comparison with the pollen size of the adjoining control populations of P. mugo and P. sylvestris. The differences in pollen germination percentage of\u00a0 hybrid swarms at Habovka and Such\u00e1 Hora and control population of P. mugo at Roh\u00e1\u010de have not reached the level of statistical significancy. Statistically significant were only differences in pollen tube length. Hybrid swarms exhibited reduced pollen tubes of 15 % and 31 % in comparison with control populations. This indicate reduced vitality of pollen in hybrid swarms. Total content of chosen allochtonous elements and anionic components in leaf of silver birch (Betula pendula Roth.) has been analysed at urban vegetation area of Nitra town grown along with thoroughfare. To those elements belongs Ca, Mg, K, Na, Fe, Zn, Cu, Pb, Mn and H2PO4-, Cl-, NO3-, (SO4)2- that were analysed from leaf samples collected in 1989, 1999 and 2005 years. Investigated leaf element content was compared with leaf one collected at relatively clean locality Arboretum Mly\u0148any SAV, 30 km NE from Nitra in distance. The cumulated leaf elements has been assessed to town air load by emmissions. The significantly increased element contents were analysed from birch leaf grown at Nitra as are: K, Fe, Zn, Cu, Pb, Mn, Cl-, NO3-, (SO4)2-. Leaf element contents are comparable higher at Nitra locality than in Arboretum Mly\u0148any SAV one. Many analysed elements from Nitra locality are over the allowed natural growth limits.

Floristic structure and qualitative adjectives of Kyiv grass-plots were investigated. Common evaluations of qualitative adjectives of Kyiv grass-plots coverings were cited. There are 63 alochtonic species among the ones found in the grass-plots on the territory of Kyiv. They include 35 species imported before the XVI century (archeophytes), and 28 brought later.
