On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the Botanical Garden of P. J. Šafárik University, we decided to combine the Open Day and SWAP into one event.
The Open Day will take place on Saturday, 3rd May, 9am. – 5pm. During this time, members of the Cactus Club and Citrus Club will be present to sell their plants and also to give expert advice.
The plant SWAP will take place on Saturday, 3rd May from 10am. – 3pm.
What is SWAP? It is the exchange of plants, cuttings, seedlings and seeds of both indoor and garden plants. You can take as many plants as you bring for exchange. Many of us like to grow and propagate plants or have a plant we no longer want and this SWAP is the perfect opportunity to share the products of our gardening. Maybe you’ll even find the plant you’ve been looking for that you can’t get elsewhere!
Each visitor will receive a package of mycorrhizal fungi from our sponsor Symbiom as a gift.
The SWAP will take place either in the gazebo or in the lobby depending on the weather. Admission to the SWAP and the Botanical Garden is free.
The SWAP takes place between 10am and 3pm and you can come and swap plants at any time during this interval. However, we have also prepared a supplementary programme:
10am – 3pm: In cooperation with @tat.raj.akvarel , everyone will have an opportunity to try painting a flower using watercolour technique under professional supervision and take home a lovely and original souvenir.
