The Index Seminum is a list of seeds that the Botanic Garden offers to other botanic gardens and institutions with a similar focus within the framework of the international seed exchange programme.
International seed exchange has been going on among botanic gardens around the world for many decades. It is an important source of material for building and expanding the plant collections. This Botanic Garden thus cooperates with approximately 350 botanic gardens and institutions on a global scale. We have been involved in this programme since 1954.
