The PhD student submits the application for the dissertation examination via AiS2 at the following time:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>PhD student in daily form &#8211; within 24 months from the beginning of the study; PhD student in external form no later than three years from the beginning of the study.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The PhD student is obliged to submit a written work prepared for the dissertation examination together with the application for the dissertation examination.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The condition for granting consent to perform the dissertation examination is the completion of the study part in the prescribed composition of subjects and obtaining at least 90 credits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The defense of the dissertation is a state examination and must be completed no later than August 31<sup>st<\/sup> in the last academic year of the standard length of PhD studies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>defense of the dissertation<\/strong> thesis in the above-standard length must take place no later than two years after the end of the standard length of study, and must take place no later than August 31<sup>st<\/sup> of the second year of its above-standard length of study.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.upjs.sk\/lekarska-fakulta\/en\/current-students\/phd-study\/state-exams\/dissertation\/\" class=\"ek-link\">Dissertation exam<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.upjs.sk\/lekarska-fakulta\/en\/current-students\/phd-study\/state-exams\/thesis-defense\/\" class=\"ek-link\">Dissertation thesis defense<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The dissertation exam is a state exam and is public.
