Pasteur Ko\u0161ice the necessary equipment to work in the laboratory in the diagnosis of the new coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 causing the disease COVID-19. These are two laminar boxes from the Faculty of Medicine originally purchased for scientific purposes, one provided from the Associated Tissue Bank and the other from the Institute of Medical and Clinical Microbiology. Faculty of Medicine UPJ\u0160 had also helped the university hospital by providing two highly qualified staff for sample expertise.<\/strong><br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0The Faculty of Medicine of UPJ\u0160 in Ko\u0161ice lent to the University Hospital of L. Pasteur Ko\u0161ice the necessary equipment to work in the laboratory in the diagnosis of the new coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 causing the disease COVID-19. These are two laminar boxes from the Faculty of Medicine originally purchased for scientific purposes, one provided from the Associated Tissue Bank and the other from the Institute of Medical and Clinical Microbiology. Faculty of Medicine UPJ\u0160 had also helped the university hospital by providing two highly qualified staff for sample expertise.<br \/>\n<em><strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0&#8220;Two of our staff assist are helping in investigating samples of patients suspected of being infected with coronavirus SARS-CoV-2, drawing on their many years of experience in PCR and Real Time PCR technologies,&#8221;<\/strong><\/em> said Dr.h.c. prof. MUDr. Leonard Siegfried, CSc.<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0For the purposes of diagnostics of the new coronavirus, a joint team of university hospital and medical faculty staff had been established. The diagnostic process started on March 12 and the laboratory is able to investigate 150 samples per day, while sensitive screening methods allow diagnostics of coronavirus infection early in the infection process.<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Similarly, the Faculty of Medicine of the UPJ\u0160 is also helping the Regional Institute of Public Health in Ko\u0161ice, to whom it lent its equipment and staff to investigate samples for the presence of a new coronavirus Institute of Epidemiology, Faculty of Medicine, UPJ\u0160.<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0If necessary, the Faculty of Medicine of UPJ\u0160 may also assist in the examination of samples by providing additional staff. According to the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, UPJ\u0160 in Ko\u0161ice prof.
