Professor MUDr. Ivan Stanek, the head of Department of histology and embryology of Medical Faculty in Bratislava, elaborated the first working conception. He participated in development of department by technical and profesional advice as well as by donation of literature, histological slides and schemes, together with professor MVDr. et RNDr.V. Vrt\u00ed\u0161 from Medical Faculty in Hradec Kr\u00e1lov\u00e9. The first head of Department of Histology and Embryology was charged <strong>MUDr. Ivan Poraz\u00edk<\/strong> (1949-1953). In the next years the people were head of the department:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; <strong>MUDr. A. Ko\u010di\u0161<\/strong>, 1953 \u2013 1956<br \/>\n&#8211; <strong>doc. MUDr. L. Hrub\u00fd, CSc.<\/strong>, 1956 \u2013 1961<br \/>\n&#8211; <strong>prof. MUDr. J. Mar\u0161ala, DrSc.<\/strong>, 1961 \u2013 1986<br \/>\n&#8211; <strong>prof. MUDr. A. Gombo\u0161, DrSc.<\/strong> 1986 \u2013 1989<br \/>\n&#8211; <strong>prof. MUDr. J. Poraz\u00edk<\/strong>, 1990 \u2013 1991<br \/>\n&#8211; <strong>doc. MUDr. L. Zachari\u00e1\u0161, CSc.<\/strong>, 1991 \u2013 1997<br \/>\n&#8211; <strong>prof. MVDr. M. Pomfy, CSc.<\/strong>, 1997 \u2013 2010<br \/>\n&#8211; <strong>prof. MUDr. E.
