\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0The Faculty of Medicine, UPJ\u0160 takes a responsible approach to the risk of spreading the new coronavirus and provided free of charge testing for its foreign students by the highly sensitive RT PCR method. \n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0The nine samplings were carried out and a total of 1271 students were tested from September 3, 2020 to September 30, 2020. We captured eighteen SARS-CoV-2 positive students and about half of them were from so-called safe countries.
\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The samplings were carried out by the students of our Faculty at the mobile sampling site of the L. Pasteur University Hospital in Ko\u0161ice under the supervision of a doctor from the Department of Infectology and Travel Medicine under the strict hygienic measures.
\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The samples were examined by the staff of the Department of Epidemiology and the Department of Medical and Clinical Biochemistry of the Faculty of Medicine, in a joint laboratory established for the diagnosis of SARS-CoV-2 virus, which is accredited by the Ministry of Health of the Slovak Republic.<\/p>\n
