Daniel Pella, M.D., PhD., the Head of the Academic Senate of UPJ\u0160 FM assoc. prof. Ing. Jaroslav Majern\u00edk, PhD., the Bursar of the Faculty Ing. Libu\u0161a Sabolov\u00e1 and six Vice-Deans \u2013the Vice-Dean for Scientific and Research Activities and authorized to represent the Dean prof. Peter Jar\u010du\u0161ka, M.D., PhD., the Vice-Dean for Educational Activities in the 1st to 3rd year of Study Programme General Medicine in Slovak Language prof. Eva Mech\u00edrov\u00e1, M.D., CSc., the Vice-Dean for Educational Activities in the 4th to 6th year of Study Programme General Medicine in Slovak Language prof. \u017delm\u00edra Macejov\u00e1, M.D., PhD., the Vice-Dean for Study Programme Dental Medicine in Slovak and English Language Silvia Timkov\u00e1, M.D., PhD., the Vice-Dean for Grants, Development and International Relations prof. Monika Halanova, D.V.M., PhD., and the Vice-Dean for Study Programme General Medicine in English Language assoc. prof. Pavol Kristian, M.D., PhD.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center\"><strong><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.upjs.sk\/app\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2022\/11\/x1.jpg\" style=\"height:200px; width:300px\" \/>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.upjs.sk\/app\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2022\/11\/x3-1.jpg\" style=\"height:200px; width:300px\" \/><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\">\n<strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0The aim of the meeting of the Rector of Charles University in Prague with the Faculty Board was the interest in deepening cooperation and efforts to internationalize the activities of the Faculty of Medicine, UPJ\u0160.<\/strong> The visit of prof. Tom\u00e1\u0161 Zima at UPJ\u0160 in Ko\u0161ice and UPJ\u0160 FM was preceded by recent visits of the Rector of Pavol Jozef \u0160af\u00e1rik University in Ko\u0161ice, prof. RNDr. Pavol Sov\u00e1k, CSc. And the Dean of UPJ\u0160 FM prof. Daniel Pella, M.D., PhD. at the 1st Faculty of Medicine of Charles University and the Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic in Prague. Nowadays, the preparations for the first joint project, the creation of an external workplace of the FM UPJ\u0160 in Prague, are being finalized.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\">\n\u00a0\u00a0<strong>\u00a0\u00a0As the Rector of Charles University, prof. Tom\u00e1\u0161 Zima, M.D., DrSc., MBA stated, the mutual cooperation between Charles University and UPJ\u0160 and their faculties of medicine, especially the FM UPJ\u0160 and the 1st Faculty of Medicine, Charles University, has long-standing roots and has lasted for decades<\/strong>. The establishment of a branch of the FM UPJ\u0160 in Prague would further deepen mutual cooperation and helps to share the acquired knowledge in the field of medicine.<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<strong>\u00a0The Dean of the FM UPJ\u0160prof. Daniel Pella, M.D., PhD. took the opportunity to publicly thank the Rector of Charles University and the management of the 1st Faculty of Medicine of Charles University for their intensive support of this idea at the meeting.<\/strong> Subsequently, the Vice-Dean for Grants, Development and International Relations prof. Monika Hal\u00e1nov\u00e1, D.V.M., PhD. presented the current activities of the FM UPJ\u0160 in the field of international projects, within which our Faculty of Medicine is very successful, as it is the investigator of four Horizon 2020 projects and other important international activities. The fact that the FM UPJ\u0160 covers the activities of the national research infrastructure SLOVACRIN significantly contributed to their implementation.<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<strong>The Rector of Charles University also took the opportunity to visit the newly created Center of Simulator and Virtual Medicine, which will be the largest and most modern in the Slovak Republic and which the Faculty of Medicine, UPJ\u0160 will put into operation from the beginning of the new academic year 2021\/2022.<\/strong> It will be used in the teaching of several subjects within all study years in various study programmes at the FM UPJ\u0160, while it will greatly modernize and improve the quality of teaching.<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0The Rector of Charles University, prof. MUDr. Tom\u00e1\u0161 Zima, DrSc., MBA, noted that students will certainly appreciate the use of the most modern simulator and virtual technology, as teaching with the help of &#8220;hi-tech&#8221; will be extremely attractive.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\">\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0More about the official reception of the Rector of Charles University at Pavol Jozef \u0160af\u00e1rik University in Ko\u0161ice by the Rector prof.
