Dermot McGauran visited our Faculty and was received by the Dean of UPJ\u0160 FM prof. Peter Jar\u010du\u0161ka, M.D., PhD. on Friday, 28 April 2023. The subject of the visit of His Excellency Dermot McGauran to the Faculty of Medicine, UPJ\u0160 was the opening of further cooperation within the framework of expanding bilateral relations between Ireland and Slovakia. As he stated during his meeting with the Dean Peter Jar\u010du\u0161ka, the Faculty of Medicine, UPJ\u0160 is extremely popular among foreign students, including medical students coming from Ireland, which confirms the high quality of its educational programmes.<\/strong><br><br>The Dean of the UPJ\u0160 Faculty of Medicine, Professor Peter Jar\u010du\u0161ka, presented to the Ambassador the modern study of medicine at our Faculty, including the use of the state-of-the-art Centre for Simulation and Virtual Medicine, which is a great benefit for students of medicine and other medical disciplines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>H.E. Dermot McGauran was happy to take the opportunity to speak personally with the Irish students, and was interested in their experiences of studying medicine, and of life in Slovakia. He was pleased to hear that they greatly appreciated the quality of university medical education at our faculty, and they also praised the friendliness of their teachers and fellow students, as well as Slovak hospitality in general.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Irish Ambassador H.E.
