ECRIN (European Clinical Research Infrastructure Network) is a non-profit organisation which connects scientific partners and networks across the Europe. The Slovak Republic became a part of this pan-European organization focused on all forms of clinical research in 2018, while the foundations of the establishment of the Slovak Clinical Research Infrastructure Network – SLOVACRIN have been carefully prepared since 2017. Slovakia was introduced as a candidate country and subsequently admitted as an observer country after demanding negotiations at the ECRIN Assembly of Members in May 2018. The national foundations of the future network were laid at a meeting at the Ministry of Health of the Slovak Republic on September 11th 2018.
