The department’s research program is focused on the study of the role of intestinal microbiota in the pathogenesis of chronic diseases and the possibilities of its targeted modulation in their prevention and therapy. The knowledge gained in solving research tasks will be applied in the development of new preparations based on beneficial micro-organisms to make more effective the prevention and therapy of chronic diseases.
