History of Department

Department of Medical Rehabilitation UPJŠ FM and Hospital Košice-Šaca a.s. 1st private hospital was established on 9. 11. 2015 from Department of Physiatry and Rehabilitation Medicine, the oldest in-patient workplace of this kind in Slovakia, which was created in February 1972. The workplace since its creation set a trend in the field of medical rehabilitation and manual medicine. Most importantly, in the long term – it was the only workplace in Slovakia, dedicated ergodiagnostics and occupational therapy with the needs of large enterprises. Since its inception there runs the teaching and practice of physiotherapists, masseurs and residents study of general practitioners.
