The Department of Medical Informatics and Simulator Medicine provides teaching of informatics in all the study programmes at Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice, Faculty of Medicine. It provides teaching of information systems intended to be used in hospitals, clinics and clinical laboratories, as well as mathematical and statistical medical data processing methods in the selected fields of study. The Center for simulator and virtual medicine provides support for innovative teaching of medicine at the faculty.
Scientific and research activities of the Department are aimed at supporting the e-learning, telemedicine applications, employing videoconferencing technologies, development of human motion video-analysis methods, mathematical and statistical processing of experimental data, development and operation of computer network, implementation of the Academic Information System, and implementation of modern information and communication technologies in research, education, and clinical processes realized at the Faculty. The Department also renders audio, video, and photo services.

!!! THE DATES FOR RETAKE TESTS FROM MEDICAL INFORMATICS
DM and GM students who did not pass the credit tests during the winter semester (did not get at least 60%) will have the last opportunity to retake the test(s) on:
• Friday, 10.01.2025 at 11 a.m.
• Monday, 03.02.2025 at 11 a.m.
