The dissertation exam is a state exam and is public. The PhD student submits the application for the dissertation examination via AiS2 at the following time:
- PhD student in daily form – within 24 months from the beginning of the study; PhD student in external form no later than three years from the beginning of the study.
- The PhD student is obliged to submit a written work prepared for the dissertation examination together with the application for the dissertation examination.
The condition for granting consent to perform the dissertation examination is the completion of the study part in the prescribed composition of subjects and obtaining at least 90 credits.
The defense of the dissertation is a state examination and must be completed no later than August 31st in the last academic year of the standard length of PhD studies.
The defense of the dissertation thesis in the above-standard length must take place no later than two years after the end of the standard length of study, and must take place no later than August 31st of the second year of its above-standard length of study.
