Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice has developed an Internal Quality Assurance and Verification System, which is in accordance with ESG 2015 and the standards declared by the Slovak Accreditation Agency for Higher Education (SAAVŠ) and consistently strives for its implementation. The Office for the Management of the Internal Quality System administratively coordinates the implementation of the Internal Quality System in cooperation with the Board for Internal Quality Verification (BIQ) at UPJŠ in Košice.
The European Higher Education Area
The European Higher Education Area (EHEA) is a representative organization of universities – the 
European University Association (EUA), which also deals with quality assurance and participates in the creation of internal quality systems. Cooperation between European universities in the field of quality assurance is covered by the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA), which supports cooperation in the field of quality assurance in higher education based on the implementation of ESG 2015. It disseminates information and expertise seminars. In Slovakia, in cooperation with the Slovak Accreditation Agency for Higher Education (SAAVŠ), professional seminars are organized with the aim of developing and sharing best practices and supporting the implementation of ESG 2015 in the internal quality assurance and verification system at universities and colleges in the Slovak Republic.
