Ist Department of Stomatology is situated in policlinical tract of Louis Pasteur Universtity Hospital on the street Trieda SNP 1 in Košice.
On the second floor of the department there is a secretary, classrooms and a library. The specialized outpatient clinics are located on the other floors of the department. Teaching of periodontology takes place on the third floor, teaching of conservative dentistry and prosthetics is on the fourth floor. Teaching of oral and maxillofacial surgery is performed on the fifth floor. Pedodontics and orthodontics are done at the sixth floor. The seventh floor contains two phantom rooms, where the subject Introduction to dentistry is taught in both Slovak and English language.
Characteristics of educational work
- Comprehensive teaching of all the subjects of Dental Medicine (11 of them) from the 1st to the 12th semester of study in the programme of Dental Medicine in both Slovak and English language.
- Teaching in the course of Dentistry in the degree programme of General Medicine in both Slovak and English language.
