Students and members of the Faculty Board decided to support the Advent Blood Drop event, which started at the UNLP Health Pavilion on Rastislavova Street in Košice on Wednesday, December 6, 2023. The Vice-Dean for Grants, Development and International Relations assoc. prof. RNDr. Miroslava Rabajdová, PhD., the Vice Dean for Study Programme Dental Medicine in Slovak and English language MUDr. Peter Kizek, PhD., MHA, MPH and the Director of the University Hospital MUDr. Ľuboslav Beňa, PhD., MPH came to donate blood to motivate other employees of our Faculty and the University Hospital to do such a noble deed as well on St. Nicholas Day.
The blood was donated also by the students of the FM UPJŠ- Daniella Jenčová- President of the Association of Medical Students in Košice, Soňa Janigová, Barbora Jarabáková, Adam Virčík, and Martin Hančarik.
The participants were cheerfully entertained by “RED NOSES – Clowndoctors”. The professional medical clowns also visited the National Transfusion Service at SNP Street in Košice, where the Advent Blood Drop event will last until 23 December.
