Within the proposed and approved Erasmus KAA 117 exchange grant project, Professor BALASZ ADAM from UAEU – United Arab Emirates University in Al-Ain visited our Faculty of Medicine and University. Professor Adam is lecturer at Department of Public Health at UAEU. The visit took place from April 2nd to April 11th, 2024, based on an international Erasmus grant proposed by Professor Kvetoslava Rimárová.
The professor visited the Centre of Simulator and Virtual Medicine of the Faculty of medicine accompanied by the head of the center MDDr. Jakub Jánošík, MPH. He got acquainted with the possibilities of interactive teaching of medical, dental and non-medical disciplines and with the possibilities of modern solutions for the use of simulators in the teaching, diagnostic and treatment process. He also visited the Institute of Public Health and Hygiene of Faculty of Medicine, where the main guarantor of the KAA project is prof. MUDr. Kvetoslava Rimárová, CSc. and got acquainted mainly with the curriculum of the Public Health, which is taught both at our faculty and at the UAEU. Professor Adam also actively participated in undergraduate teaching and discussion with foreign students with the topic of Occupational Health. The professor also visited the Public Health Authorities in Košice.
The visitor has also discussion at the International Office of the Pavol Jozef Šafárik University, and he viewed the historical building of the UPJŠ Rectorate and the hall of the university. Both professors expressed expectations of high-quality future cooperation, especially in the area of possibilities for join exchange stays in staff of undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and also for research in the area of Injury prevention which is not established and developed in our country.
