On Thursday, November 07, 2024, the Ceremonial Matriculation of 1st year students of all study programmes at the Faculty of Medicine of Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice, took place in the Aula of the Faculty of Medicine. The Ceremonial act of Matriculation of students of General Medicine, Dental Medicine, Nursing Care, Physiotherapy, Public Health, and Laboratory Examination Methods in Healthcare was attended by the Vice-Dean Prof. MUDr. Želmíra Macejová, PhD., MPH on behalf of the Dean Prof. MUDr. Peter Jarčuška, PhD. The Ceremony was led by study Vice-Deans Prof. MUDr. Ingrid Hodorová, PhD., Prof. MUDr. Peter Urdzík, PhD., MPH, and MUDr. Peter Kizek, PhD., MHA, MPH. On the Ceremony participated also the Chairman of the Academic Senate of the UPJŠ FM Assoc. Prof. Eng. Jaroslav Majerník, PhD., persons responsible for the study programmes, study advisors and representatives of student associations.
By taking the matriculation pledge, the first-year students promised that they will fulfill their study duties, respect the decisions of the Academic Senate of Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice and the Faculty of Medicine, study hard in order to be beneficial to the society, honour, protect and disseminate good reputation of their Alma mater and perpetrate it no harm.
