The Dean awarded excellent students of the Faculty of Medicine, UPJŠ with the Dean’s Commendations, on the occasion of International Students’ Day on November 20, 2023. Twenty-five excellent students of the Faculty of Medicine, UPJŠ, including outstanding medical students studying in the English language, received the Dean’s Commendation for their excellent performance of their studies on the occasion of the International Students’ Day and the Struggle for Freedom and Democracy Day on Tuesday, November 20, 2023.
The award ceremony was attended by the Dean of the UPJŠ FM prof. MUDr. Peter Jarčuška, PhD. and three Vice-Deans -the Vice-Dean for Educational Activities in the 1st to 3rd year of Study Programme General Medicine in Slovak Language, assoc. prof. MUDr. Ingrid Hodorová, PhD., university professor, the Vice-Dean for Educational Activities in the 4th to 6th year of Study Programme General Medicine in Slovak Language, assoc. prof. MUDr. Pavol Joppa, PhD., and the Vice-Dean for Study Programme Dental Medicine in Slovak and English Language, MUDr. Peter Kizek, PhD., MHA, MPH.
The Dean of the UPJŠ FM prof. MUDr. Peter Jarčuška, PhD. handed over the Dean’s Commendations to the students and after congratulations had an informal talk with them not only about the events of November ’89 but was mainly interested in the various problems they encounter in theoretical and practical teaching and their view on possible solutions.
