On Thursday, September 26, 2019, the Literary Fund Award for Scientific and Professional Literature for the year 2018 was presented in the Zichy Palace Defense Hall in Bratislava and one of the awards went to the Faculty of Medicine of UPJŠ in Košice.
The Award for Outstanding Scientific Citation to One Work for 2019 in the Category of Natural and Medical Sciences was awarded to RNDr. Tímea Špaková, PhD. together with a team of four co-authors – MVDr. Ján Rosocha, CSc.; doc. MD. Marek Lacko, PhD.; Ing. Denisa Harvanová, PhD. and MUDr. Dr. Ahmad Gharaibeh, PhD.
Their scientific article with a title “Treatment of knee joint osteoarthritis with autologous platelet-rich plasma in comparison with hyaluronic acid”, published in the American Journal of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Volume 91 in 2012 was placed on the second place. The Database of Web of Science from its edition until October 2019 records its 152 citations.
