The Matriculation ceremony of the 1st year students of all FM UPJŠ study programmes took place at the Assembly Hall of the Faculty of Medicine, UPJŠ on Tuesday, November 22, 2022.
The ceremonial act of matriculation of students of the study programme General Medicine and Dental Medicine was attended by the Dean prof. Peter Jarčuška, M.D., PhD., the Vice-Deans prof. Daniel Pella, M.D., PhD. and Peter Kizek, M.D., PhD., MHA, MPH, and also persons responsible for study programmes and representatives of student organizations operating at our Faculty.
The ceremony in the English language was led by the Vice Dean prof. Daniel Pella, who reminded the students of their rights and obligations that they assumed by enrolling in studies and emphasized that the solemn act of matriculation is to underline the responsibility for their approach to the preparation for their future profession.
The students took a vow by which they promised to perform their study duties, to respect the decisions of the Academic Senate, University, and Faculty, to study the best way to bring all-purpose benefit, to honor, protect and spread the reputation of the Faculty of Medicine, UPJŠ and not to commit anything to damage it.
After taking the matriculation oath, they were introduced by name to the matriculation board and heard the speech of the Dean, professor Peter Jarčuška, who pointed out that matriculation is a good opportunity to think about what awaits them in the coming years, to set their goals and to make resolutions that will accompany them throughout their studies.
