Graduation Ceremony at the Faculty of Medicine

    The graduation ceremonies of fresh graduates of the study programmes, General Medicine in Slovak Language, Dental Medicine in Slovak language, General Medicine in English Language, Dental Medicine in English Language, Physiotherapy, Nursing Care and Public Health took place at the Faculty of Medicine, UPJŠ  on June 30 and July 01, 2022. 
    As the Dean prof. Daniel Pella, M.D., PhD. stated in his ceremonial speech, our students succeeded in their studies only thanks to their great diligence, hard work, and knowledge, which are now their greatest wealth. Wealth on which they will build the foundations of their future professional life…
    „You have successfully completed the university study. You have managed the “fights” with professors, associate professors and assistants. What is waiting for you now will be much harder. Real life of a doctor is also the “life of his patients.” You will live with them, with their pain, you will walk them out of the hospital fully recovered, but you will also experience moments of disappointment because medicine is not omnipotent…“ said prof. Daniel Pella, M.D., PhD. and reminded that there is no greater value than health and therefore he wished the graduates of all study programmes not only to bring health, but also to enjoy it themselves.
    “The objective reality is that you have graduated from a faculty whose diploma entitles you to apply for a job not only in Slovakia, but also in any EU country… Never forget the Hippocratic Oath, honour your teachers and treat every patient as if they were your mother or father. Do not forget your Alma Mater, the Faculty of Medicine UPJŠ, where you will always find support even after graduation and be a support for it too – by the results of your work and therefore by spreading its good name,” pointed out the Dean, prof. Daniel Pella, M.D., PhD.
