Professor Monika Halánová was honored with the Award of Mayor of the City of Košice

    The Mayor of the City of Košice Jaroslav Polaček presented the highest city awards to prominent personalities of the City of Košice and collectives. Among the awarded personalities was also the Vice-Dean and the Head of the Department of Epidemiology, Faculty of Medicine, UPJŠ prof. Monika Halánová, D.VM., PhD., who was honored with the Award of the Mayor of the City of Košice on the occasion of the life’s jubilee for a special contribution to the development of the epidemiology scientific field, for research in the field of epidemiology and pedagogical activities at the FM UPJŠ. Congratulations!
    “I appreciate that I can also stand on the podium with such important people who have achieved great success in their field. I am glad that thanks to the work of the team of my colleagues from the FM UPJŠ, we helped to improve the epidemic situation in our city. I believe that our mutually beneficial cooperation with the representatives of the City of Košice will continue and we will be able to continue to help improve public health,” said prof. Monika Halánova, D.V.M., PhD.
