A memorial ceremony was held at the UPJŠ Faculty of Medicine on Thursday, June 22, 2023. MVDr. Ján Rosocha, CSc., was a pioneer in the creation and development of cell and tissue banking in Slovakia. The commemorative event was opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, UPJŠ, prof. Peter Jarčuška, M.D., PhD. and director of UNLP Ľuboslav Beňa, M.D., PhD., MPH, who in their speeches emphasized not only the scientific contribution of the former head of the Associated Tissue Bank UPJŠ FM and UNLP but also his great human dimension. This was followed by a nice memory video and a professional program, which included not only eight lectures but also other memories of former colleagues of Ján Rosocha.
