The 5th year of the Race for the Dean´s Cup in skiing and snowboarding

    The 5th year of the alpine skiing and snowboarding competition organized by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, UPJŠ prof. Daniel Pella, M.D., PhD. took place in the Ski Center Levoča – Levočská Dolina on Saturday, January 18, 2020. As in previous years, among the competitors prevailed students of the FM UPJŠ and the competition was international in nature, as the participants from Poland, Germany, Spain and Greece were also took part in it. More than fifty skiers and snowboarders competed for the Dean’s Cup, who were staying in this nice ski resort during the weekend.

Snowboarding:
         1st place:  Jakub Mihaľov
         2nd place:  Želmíra Šuchová
         3rd place:  Lucia Mihóková

    There was held a social evening connected with the awards ceremony in the evening. The social evening was in a good mood, as well as whole day. “I am very pleased that the Dean’s Cup in skiing and snowboarding is attracting more and more people and that many foreign students attended it. A student from Germany even won the men category. I am glad that this event connected an active sports recreation with a social meeting of students and teachers, ”commented Dean Daniel Pella on the successful event.
