Department of Forensic Medicine has successfully completed multiple research projects, while cooperating with other workplaces of Pavol Jozef Šafárik University, as well as with other universities in Slovakia. Scientific and research activities at the Department are focused on morphological features of diseases, injuries and postmortem changes in selected areas of Forensic Medicine. Ongoing research involves an autopsy study of COVID-19 and monitoring of health hazards at Forensic Medicine workplaces in Slovakia.
