The Department of British and American Studies FF UPJ\u0160<\/strong><\/span> organised again, after two year covid break, its traditional “Maturita” Open House Week<\/strong> from 23 to 27 May 2022. During these days, students from partner secondary schools in Ko\u0161ice had an opportunity to gain insight into the functioning of our department, the study programmes we offer and admission process into these programmes. Also, they had an opportunity to learn about what the BAS Department can offer them in terms of interships, practice, Erasmus+ mobilities and cooperation with institutions and companies in the region. Apart from the introductory presentations, the students had a chance to try simultaneous interpretation in our laboratory, test their langauge skills in a quiz and learn something about the history and present-day functioning of different buildings located on the FF UPJ\u0160 campus. Almost 200 students from Gymn\u00e1zium M. R. \u0160tef\u00e1nika, Gymn\u00e1zium Park ml\u00e1de\u017ee, Gymn\u00e1zium sv. Edity Steinovej and Obchodn\u00e1 akad\u00e9mia Watsonova, accompanied by their teachers were welcome to our premises and we hope to see many of them as students in our department in future.
