On 31 January 2025, the Dean of the Faculty of Arts of UPJŠ in Košice, Prof. Mgr. Renáta Panocová, PhD., welcomed the lecturer of Italian language, Mgr. Ladislav Ružička, who will be teaching two elective courses offered for all UPJŠ students in the summer semester of the academic year 2024/2025. Within the Language Training Centre at FF UPJŠ, the elective courses “Italian Language for Pre-Intermediate Learners 1” and “Italian Language for Pre-Intermediate Learners 2” are offered.
Mgr. Ladislav Ružička taught Italian language courses also during the winter semester of the 2024/2025 academic year, and his work at the faculty represents a significant contribution to the development of students’ language competencies. The availability of Italian language courses for UPJŠ students is made possible thanks to a financial contribution from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Italian Republic to support Italian language teaching. The Faculty of Arts at UPJŠ thus continues to promote and expand foreign language education and the internationalization of learning.
The meeting was also attended by the Head of the Language Training Centre at the FF UPJŠ, Mgr. Zuzana Kolaříková, PhD., the Vice-Dean for International Relations at FF UPJŠ, Mgr. Jozef Benka, PhD., and the Project Manager at FF UPJŠ, Mgr. Katarína Hajduková. Together, they discussed further possibilities for offering Italian language teaching at UPJŠ.
