The regional round of the Olympics in English was again welcomed and co-organized by the Department of British and American Studies, UPJŠ Faculty of Arts. Coordinators PhDr. Slávka Janigová, PhD. for BAS FF UPJŠ and Mgr. Martina Jaroščáková for Gymnázium Poštová together prepared a smooth event for almost 100 participants and their accompaniment. Eight expert committees, chaired by members of BAS FF UPJŠ and worked by teachers of secondary and primary schools of Košice Region, evaluated the high level of preparation and performance of all participants. For secondary school students – successful solvers of district and regional rounds of the Olympics in English the BAS FF UPJŠ offers admission without entrance examination for its study programmes and UPJŠ offers motivational scholarships to successful regional round solvers after entering the UPJŠ.
