On the 4th of May 2023, the students of the Deparment of British and American Studies FF UPJŠ had the privilege of attending a discussion on the topic of artificial intelligence organized by the European Parliament. The debate was incredibly high-level. The audience was deeply immersed in this complex topic, and enriched by the experience. We mostly discussed AI’s unbelievable raw power and potential. While it is common to fear such progress, the speakers explained this new technology’s possible use. Such tips could help in all our future careers, including translation-interpretation. Finally, OD Urban’s Martinus provided for an excellent setting.
