On 27 September 2023, Faculty of Arts hosted a seminar on ERC grants, held by Assoc. Prof. Slávka Otčenášová, PhD. (Department of History, Faculty of Arts, UPJŠ), seconded national expert at the European Research Council Executive Agency in Brussels. Besides the essential overview of the types of ERC grants, Assoc. Prof. Slávka Otčenášová, PhD. also presented the summary of novelties in the ERC Work Programme 2024, and she also talked about useful innovations in the funding and evaluation of individual types of ERC grants. Changes in the project application or in the assessment of the eligibility of applicants for individual types of ERC grants were discussed as well.
The above-mentioned topics sparked a lively exchange with the participants of the seminar, which provided valuable feedback to the presenter as well as to the organizers of the event about the need to host events of a similar nature for academic staff, whether at the faculty or university level.
