After the successful completion of the course Skills for Success – from university to workplace, which is focused on the so-called soft and hard skills, and which is provided for UPJŠ by trainers of companies associated in the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) and its Business Services Center Forum (BSCF), students of the Department of British and American Studies FF UPJŠ from the AmCham representative Ing. Marek Hrubčo, who heads the AmCham office in Košice, and in the presence of the deputy head of BAS FF UPJŠ for pedagogical activities, Mgr. Július Rozenfeld, PhD. and the head of the department Dr. h. c. doc. Mgr. Slávka Tomaščíková, PhD., on October 5, 2020 took over the certificates, which will enable them to gain better positions on the labour market not only in Slovakia but also abroad.
This attractive and compulsory elective course necessary for real practice has been implemented at UPJŠ since the academic year 2018/2019, it has already had four successful semesters with more than 70 graduates, mostly from BAS FF UPJŠ. On Monday, October 5, 2020, another semester was opened, which will run online for 20 students of the department due to preventive measures. The course has been launched and is coordinated by the AmCham representatives – Ing. Peter Rusiňák, PhD. and Ing. Viktória Susňáková, PhD.
We congratulate the graduates and wish the current students a lot of success in acquiring these skills, which are very necessary for their future practice.
