Faculty’s Mission

The basic mission of the Faculty of Public Administration as a fixed part of the Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice (hereinafter also “UPJŠ” or the University) is to prepare graduates for the needs of public administration and the public sector in the Slovak Republic and the European Union and to meet the expectations associated with the operation of the faculty of this kind in terms of education, scientific research, international relations, as well as expertise and consulting activities. In order to achieve the defined mission, the faculty will carry out education, research and knowledge transfer with an awareness of its social responsibility in relation to the Slovak Republic and abroad, continuously consolidate and develop academic excellence and quality in all areas of its activities, promote the internationalization of educational and scientific research activities, and consolidate and develop a network of relations with foreign partners and domestic institutions in the field of public administration and the public sector.
