We invite you to the CASSOVIA BONSAI 2025 exhibition, which will take place from 8 May to 11 May 2025 from 9:00 am to 05:00 pm in the indoor premises of the Botanical Garden. The exhibition is held under the auspices of the Japanese Ambassador to the Slovak Republic, H.E. Mr. Yasuhiro Kawakami, who has confirmed his personal attendance.During his visit, he will award the prize for the most beautiful bonsai and plant a tree in the Alley of Eminent Persons. Throughout the exhibition, visitors will have the opportunity to purchase indoor and outdoor bonsai and accessories needed for bonsai care. Expert consultations on bonsai cultivation will be also available.
On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the Botanical Garden and the 15th anniversary of the Bonsai Centre Košice, the exhibition will feature an interesting programme:
- Saturday 10 May 2025 from 9:00 am to 12.00 noon – bonsai shaping competition for registered participants
- Saturday 10 May 2025 from 10:30 am – martial arts demonstration
- Saturday 10 May and Sunday 11 May 2025 – exhibition of SHOHIN size trees and small, naturally occurring or shaped SUISEKI stones with a demonstration of DAIZA stands making
- Saturday 10 May and Sunday 11 May 2025 – Good Teahouse – offering a selection of Japanese and world-class teas, along with demonstration of traditional qigong and Falun Gong meditation
