Responsibilities for quality assurance at UPJŠ are defined in particular by
- Act no. 131/2002 Coll. on Higher Education,
- Act no. 269/2018 Coll. on quality assurance in higher education,
- Statute of UPJŠ and UPJŠ Organizational Rules and its parts
Quality verification at the UPJŠ level is coordinated by The Board for Internal Quality Verification at Pavol Jozef Safarik University, which is an independent advisory body of the Rector of UPJŠ. The independence and complexity of quality assurance is emphasized by the representation of students and external experts on the board.
The quality of study programmes is guaranteed by the Study Programme Boards and the Doctoral Study Departments Committees.
Study Programme Boards consists of:
- presons responsible for the study programme,
- selected persons responsible for teaching profile subjects,
- student representatives,
- employers‘ representatives.
The quality of the habilitation and inauguration procedures is guaranteed by the Councils for verifying the quality of the habilitation and inauguration proceedings.
