The Best Global Universities rankings published by the U.S. News & World Report rank universities based on 13 indicators focused on mainly on research performance and reputation of universities. 1,500 universities from over 80 countries were ranked in the Best Global Universities 2020 published in fall 2019. Four universities from Slovakia were included in the rankings, namely Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice, Comenius University in Bratislava, the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava, and the Technical University of Košice.
Based on the overall evaluation, our university ranked 987th. Among 53 universities of the V4, UPJŠ placed 22nd. When comparing Czech and Slovak universities, UPJŠ was the eighth best university out of 16 and the second best among Slovak universities.
